New Cornerstone Network Members:

New Cornerstone Library Unveiled:

The new library houses Professional and Children sections. The Professional Library displays professional development resources recommended by Cornerstone; and with a click of the mouse, you can purchase selections
online.

The Children's section will list children's books recommended by Cornerstone staff, but we want to include YOUR recommendations as well. We invite you to suggest children's selections that are outstanding in your view. And you can submit them right on the page in the Children's section. This will provide a rich resource from which to select children's books that are "tried and true."

Check it out!

The Cornerstone Regional Meetings will be held:

January 27-29 Southern Regional Meeting (for southern Cornerstone schools) hosted in Talladega.
February 10-12 Northern Regional Meeting (for northern Cornerstone schools) hosted in Philadelphia.

Cornerstone Coaches will travel to England for observations and exchange with British colleagues:

February 23, 2002 -March 3, 2002 (Actual Cornerstone work begins on Sunday, February 24, and ends on Friday, March 1) The weekend travel dates allow for extended tourism in the country at either end of the work dates, if you wish.

CONGRATULATIONS TO CORNERSTONE'S LALITHA VASUDEVAN!

Over the past year, Lalitha, our graduate research associate, has developed a study that looks at how teachers change and ways in which teacher practice evolves. Under her microscope has been Cornerstone's Online Learning Forums, conversations from our Regional Meetings and Summer Institute, and also a case study lens through regular exchange with Lea School's faculty.

Lalitha submitted a proposal to present that study to the annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AREA). It was accepted! (She notes that there is significant interest in the educational research community about Cornerstone's work.) In April Lalitha will travel to New Orleans to present a slice of this work to the educational research community.

We laud Lalitha's fine work and wish her well in her presentation!
