Small Wonder – Parent Work

Parents are busy supporting the learning of their children through many connections to their schools.  At the recent Cornerstone Winter Meeting, parents shared some of their successes.

Some are listed below and with a few you will notice a link to a full-blown article that detailed their efforts.  At Cornerstone, we always want to spread those winning ideas!

Success Sharing

Ideas shared for following up the Science At Home session:

  • PTA meetings, share experiments you can do at home
  • Family Science Night in conjunction with Science Fair
  • Talk about Science is Fun – and that you already do it in the Kitchen, Bathroom, Backyard -- with parents who think science is hard because they didn’t do well in school.
  • Write a “Did You Know that Science Is….?” Article in the “Cornerstone Connections” parent newsletter. (Please send this article to be reprinted in the Cornerstone Newsletter!!)
