Introducing
Schema
Wendy Seger, literacy fellow to Springfield, recently introduced in the schools with whom she works the use of schema in literacy teaching and learning. An agenda and lesson plan for a model lesson on introducing schema was developed. She took chart paper, various trade books, and color copies of the covers so that school coaches could walk away with a schema lesson to take back and model for their teachers. She would like to share that work with others who may wish to take advantage.
