CLI staff attend KU coaching conference

October 24, 2012

Cornerstone Literacy staff members Rebecca McKay, Joe Mills, and Wendy Seger recently traveled to the University of Kansas to attend the Kansas Coaching Project's Seventh Annual Instructional Coaching Conference. Billed as "A Global Summit on Coaching," the conference featured leading experts from England and Australia, along with US notables Robert Marzano, JoEllen Killion, and Jim Knight.

The Kansas Coaching Project, a division of the KU Center for Research on Learning (KU-CRL), conducts research on instructional coaching, on-site professional development intended to teach educators how to use proven instructional methods. The project offers several opportunities throughout the year to learn more about coaching, including an annual fall conference featuring some of the nation’s experts in instructional coaching.
