CLI staff conducts school visits throughout the year to every participating school in order to achieve the following objectives:

• Deliver professional development as a part of a collaboratively planned vision for the year
• Offer feedback on literacy practice
• Support building-based literacy coaches, principals, and leadership teams
• Facilitate lesson study, lesson links, and professional learning communities
• Study student data, planning a response to the data, and designing professional development based on what the data show
• Use our Implementation Guides to search for school strengths and areas where more support is needed
