Troubleshooting Video Equipment

Only troubleshoot when there is not a video conference in progress. Otherwise call Cornerstone.

If your problem deals not with connecting to a video conference, but with the equipment, call RODATA at 1-888-8RODATA and get technical assistance

otherwise,

1. First check your NT-1 device. This is the part of the equipment that plugs directly into the wall.

Each school should be equipped with 3 ISDN lines. Each ISDN line has two phone numbers associated with it. Your NT-1 Device should have 3 lights representing the three ISDN lines coming from the wall into your equipment.

Make sure the video system (Camera) is powered on.
  • Look at the lights. They should be green or red. If they are orange, either your system is not on or is still warming up. Wait a moment.
  • If the lights are all green, your lines are coming through fine. Move on to step #2
  • If any of the lights are red, you are having a problem with that line. Call your phone company and have them run tests on the line. You will need the phone numbers associated with the problem line. (This can be found on the ISDN phone bill) If you cannot tell which numbers are associated with which ISDN line, have them run tests on all three.

2. Check you equipment.

Wait (warming up) (Yellow)
Line is Good (Green)
Line is Bad (Red)

3. If there is still a problem with connecting to a scheduled video conference. Call Cornerstone at 215-701-4500
